THEATER WITHOUT AUDIENCE
"Learning from Brecht how to think of oneself in the third person singular, I realized that displacement is not a curse but part of condition humaine."
– ATW
The founder of the Gießen School, Andrzej Tadeusz Wirth (1927-2019) coined the term "post-dramatic theatre" in post-war Europe for a theatre form that has no definition. ATW brought with the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen the theatre stage outside, so the pacifist mission of the theatre reaches everyone. The essay film "Theatre Without Audience" by Paweł Kocambasi emphasizes and reinforces the importance of democratic values today – you are part of the meaning which is now created
48 / RESISTING THE BIG SETTLEMENT
ALL PROCEEDS OF THE SCREENING GOES TOWARDS PALESTINE
About the filmmakers
Team 218 is more than a film crew, as its existence relies on a strong community that supports it. It has gotten its name from the number on the bus that connects Jerusalem to the rest of Palestine via Ramallah and passes through the Qalandiya checkpoint, the largest in the West Bank. It consists of people from Athens (Greece) who have participated in political documentaries and have organized solidarity movements for Palestine. Right now the team is working on its second documentary regarding Palestinians in exile.
About the film
"48 / Resisting the big settlement" was filmed in the summer of 2022 in the occupied West Bank. It is an attempt to express the daily experience of Palestinians excluded by the apartheid regime, describing different aspects of the Israeli occupation. The idea for this documentary was born after two trips to occupied Palestine and through our acquaintance with local freedom fighters. “Bring our voices out” was the answer to the question “what can we do as a movement of solidarity with the Palestinian resistance?”. Through the interviews, of women, men and children from Nabi Saleh, Hebron, Jenin and Sheikh Jarrah, about the bans on free movement, the seizure of their houses, the humiliating checkpoints, the imprisonments and the killings of their loved ones, what culminates is a collective narrative of the Palestinian resistance as an everyday practice. The film has been awarded with special audience mention in the 17th Naples Human Rights Documentary Festival and best full length Greek documentary in the 11th Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival.

KEEP COMING BACK - Episode 2: THE VISIT
Michel (François) is a good guy and would probably be great for Gabriel (Nekomato), but Gabriel remains hopelessly stuck in the past. For that reason, Paulo (P. Aries) suggests a ritual to reunite him with his lost love Christian (Xris Boy). Then, after the gateway is opened, desire and pleasure reveal their ability to exist beyond the grave: Christian’s spirit shares an intimate encounter with one of the guests.
As the second chapter of the Keep Coming Back trilogy, this queer film explores grief, human imperfection, recovery from substance abuse, and the ambiguities of modern queer relationships.
THE END
Javier is an obsessed artist who is grieving the end of a relationship. His sorrow comes as a combination of memories, instinct and denial, and the mourning’s harsh feelings will compromise his sense of reality.
Surrounded by doubt, and subjected to several addictions, Javier fights to find peace – until his lattermost move take him to a surrealistic emotional purgatory. The absurdity in which Javier finds himself might be a way out of the pain, and his redemption to love and all endings. But first he needs to confront his demons and to take one last chance into the pleasures of the flesh.
